  Quad-City Times February 17, 1995 Glen P. Daut, 77, of Davenport, died Thursday at Meadowlawn Nursing Center, Davenport. Mr. Daut was employed at the former Bendix Aviation and at Encyclopedia Americana. He retired from Sivyer Steel, Bettendorf, after 14 years there. He then operated a resale store for five years. He also was a lifetime stamp collector and dealer. In 1972, he purchased the Antoine LeClaire House. He secured its listing on the National Register of Historic Places in 1973 and is credited with saving it from further deterioration. He sold the home in 1976 to the city of Davenport through the Bicentennial Commission. Memorials may be made to Genesis Hospice Program. Survivors include daughters, Glenna Fay, Lexington, Ky., and Lila Daut, Milwaukee; sons, Randall, Wauwatosa, Wis., and Steven, Chelsea, Mich.; five grandchildren; a half-sister, Betty, of California; and a foster sister, Beatrice, of Muscatine, Iowa. Mr. Daut was preceded in death by a special friend, Romelle Jeyes.
