  Find-a-Grave Walter B. Goodale, 88,of Hilcrest Ave., died Monday at Sacred Heart Nursing Home. He was born the son of Frank E. and Susie S. (Pratt) Goodale. He attended Plattsburgh High School and Albany Business College. Mr. Goodale worked for his father as a young man and later became partners with him in the wholesale grocery business at FE & WB Goodale Wholesale Groceries on Lower Court St. in Plattsburgh. He later became sole owner/operator until his retirement in 1959. Mr. Goodale's first wife, Mabel D'Allaire Goodale, died in 1971. Survivors include his wife, the former Ada Mabel (Craig) Downey; four daughters, Mrs. Floyd (Betsy) Thayer of Rockland, ME, Mrs. Billy Joe (Dora) Leopard and Mrs. Bradley (Virginia) Trombley, both of Plattsburgh, and Mrs. Nicholas (Myra) Piazza of New Bern, NC; one brother, E. Dudley Goodale of Wilmington; 11 grandchildren.
