  Kalamazoo Gazette (MI) January 29, 2009 WIBORN, Bernard D. of Portage passed away Wednesday morning, January 28, 2009. Bernard was born December 25, 1928 in Eaton Rapids, MI the son of William and Myrtie (Johnson) Wiborn. He was a veteran serving in the U.S. Army during the Korean War. Prior to his retirement he was employed with the former James River Paper Company for 37 years. Bernard was an avid Detroit Tigers fan and enjoyed his dogs. On July 11, 1953 he was united in marriage to the former Margaret Reis who preceded him in death on April 16, 2007. He was also preceded in death by a brother, James Wiborn. Surviving are three sons, Michael "Bo" (Terry) Wiborn, Bill (Jean) Wiborn, Steve (Cindy) Wiborn; one grandson, Kyle Wiborn; and several nieces and nephews. S
