Marguerite E. Haskell, 96, formerly of Freeport, Maine, died April 17, 2000, at the Rockingham County Nursing Home, Brentwood.
She was born in Lewiston, Maine, a daughter of Tallerand and Harriet Estes. She married Louis H. Haskell in Greene, Maine, on Oct. 1, 1921, and resided in Pownal and Freeport for several years.
Mrs. Haskell was the organist and the program director for the Christmas and Easter pageants at the Methodist church in North Pownal. She was the organist for the Church of the Nazarene in Freeport before moving here, where she was a member of the Deerfield Baptist Church and was a church mother and prayer warrior. Surviving are two daughters, Josephine Davis and Mrs. Arthur (Anne) Robertson of Tucson, Ariz.; a son, Lou Haskell of Raymond, Maine; 11 grandchildren and several great-grandchildren.
