Born May 11, 1936 in Beloit, Wisconsin, the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. James R. and Myrtle (Stevens) Yale. She lived her entire life in the Durand area. Married Jack Mitchell in Rockton, Illinois on June 11, 1954. Mary was a housewife and farm wife. Graduated from Durand High School, Class of 1954. Survivors include husband Jack Mitchell, Durand, Illinois; son, Robert Mitchell, Beloit, Wisconsin; daughters, Connie Mitchell, Beloit, Wisconsin and Laura (Robert) Holtzman, Shell Lake, Wisconsin; grandchildren, Sarah, Stephanie and Joshua Mellen, Amanda (Carlos) Ibarra and Lane Mitchell; three great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
