ROCKFORD - C. Marilyn Amundsen, 78, of Rockford died Saturday, June 29, 2002, in OSF Saint Anthony Medical Center. Born Jan. 11, 1924, in Durand, daughter of Clayton "P.D." G. and Helen (Hutchins) Andrews. Married Francis J. Amundsen on Jan. 14, 1946, in Durand he died May 22, 1989.
Graduated from Durand High School in 1942. Resident of Peterson Meadows of Rockford. Marilyn lived in Durand and Rockford most of her life. She was an avid reader and had been a member of Famous Book Club for many years. She was also a longtime member of a friends bridge group. She was a wonderful and supportive wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother.
Survivors include daughters, Susan (Jerry) Pearson of Rockford, Connie (Howard) Snellen of Campbellsburg, Ky., and Becky (Rick) Macklin of Cape Canaveral, Fla. grandchildren, Anne (Richard) Pearson Van Sickle of Minneapolis, Minn., Jennifer (Kurt) Lindemier of LaGrange, Ky., and Michael Macklin great-grandchildren, Zachary and Jenna nieces, Carol (Bruce) Klockner of Pecatonica and Dee (Ken) Killebrew of Tampa, Fla., and Nancy (Geoff) Feinstein and many kind family friends.
Predeceased by brother and friend, Clayton C. Andrews.
