Waldoboro -- Mrs. Gertude E. Severson, 65, died Saturday at a Rockport hospital. She was the widow of Andrew M. Severson, who died in 1963.
Mrs. Severson was born in Little Deer Isle, Feb. 3, 1911, the daughter of Charles and Ellen (Eaton) Haskell.
She attended the Waldoboro Penticostal Assembly.
She is survived by four sons, Howard A. Severson, Milton G. Severson, and Douglas L. Severson, all of Waldoboro, and Albert M. Severson of Friendship; one daughter, Mrs. George (Rachel) Simmons of Waldoboro; six brothers, Maynard Haskell and Ulysses Haskell, both of Bucksport, Ernest Haskell of Deer Isle, Perl Haskell, Leroy Haskell and Edward Haskell, all of Deer Isle; three sisters, Mrs. Freda Thompson of Rockland, and Mrs. Annie Hutchinson and Mrs. Susan Philbrook, both of Stonington; 17 grandchildren, three great-grandchildren and many neices, nephews and cousins.
