  Bartlesville Examiner-Enterprise (OK) November 1, 2007 Roger Lane Parrish 64, of Bartlesville passed away at 5:50 p.m. Monday October 29, in the Jane Phillips Medical Center. Mr. Parrish was born on March 11, 1943 in Baltimore, Maryland to Raymond and Nina (Estlin) Parrish. He moved to Bartlesville and graduated from College High School. He then received his Associates Degree in Communications. He also received training in the following fields while serving in the military: staff support administrator courses in February of 1978, attended NCO academy in December of 1984, Air traffic control operator classes in July of 1975, Career development course in May of 1973, survival training course in September of 1969, jungle survival training in April of 1967, pacific jungle survival school in January of 1968, and Morse intercept operator. Mr. Parrish received the following service medals during his distinguished career in the Air Force: distinguished flying cross, air medal with eight oak leaf clusters, Air Force commendation medal, Air Force outstanding unit award with one oak leaf cluster, Air force good conduct medal with five oak leaf cluster, national defense service medal, Vietnam service medal, Air Force overseas short tour ribbon with one oak leaf. Upon his retirement from the United States Air Force Master Sergeant Parrish worked for Phillips Security and Hotel Phillips as a night auditor. Roger was preceded in death by his wife Lorraine (Tarbox) Parrish.
