Florence was born in Hartford, daughter of the late Clayton H. Swift and Lida (Merrill) Swift. She leaves two daughters and two sons-in-law, Gail and Allan Guilford of Amston, Sally and Bruce Crowell of Hebron; a son and daughter-in-law, Anthony and Nancy Galeota of Ashford; eight grandchildren; and eight great grandchildren.
