Springfield - Clinton Ray Tozier, 71, died peacefully at his home, June 16, 1997. He was born in Springfield, Aug. 18, 1925, the eldest son of Clarence and Florence (Staples) Tozier.
Clinton was a World War II veteran serving in the U.S. Navy.
He married Priscilla Thornton on March 17, 1945, in Auburn.
He is survived by his wife, Priscilla; three sons, William Bruce and his wife Virginia (Martin) Tozier of Enfield, Kevin Ray and his wife, Donna (Bussell) Tozier of Prentiss, Douglas Thornton and his wife, Barbara (Williams) Tozier of Dexter; one daughter, Janice Ethel Mudge and her husband, Steven of Bradford; seven grandchildren, Jenny Lynn Tozier of Springfield, Shannon Roe Tozier of Prentiss, Kimberly Jean Pricilla (Tozier) Hardy of Enfield, Justin Lee Tozier of Prentiss, Cassandra Lee Clukey of Bradford, April Ann Tozier of Enfield, Richard Noke Tozier of Dexter; two great-grandchildren, Devin William Skeens of Springfield and Joseph Jack Hardy of Enfield; and one brother, Chester; three sisters. Helen Hanscom, Edena Worster and Carolyn Tozier, several neices and nephews.
He was predeceased by a son Daryl; a grandson, William Devin Tozier; a brother William; a sister, Mildred Ham.
