  St. Paul Pioneer Press (MN) March 7, 2002 Bartig, William K., age 74, formerly of Long Lake. William was born and raised in Duluth, came to Mpls to attend Breck High School, returned to Duluth to attend UMD, where he graduated with a degree in business. Furthering his education, he attended the University of Colorado, where he obtained his MBA. William began his working career at the State Bank of Long Lake, which he later purchased from his father-in-law, Kenneth Bollum and owned it for 13 years. He was a navy veteran of WWII. He is survived by his loving wife of 50 years, Barbara; daughter Sarah and husband, Paul Sterlacci and their children Benjamin and Aldo Moroni and Elizabeth Sterlacci; son Mark Bartig and his children Maxwell, Sam, Maggie and Abigail; son Peter Bartig and his children Isabel and William; sister Joan Bartig of Green Bay, WI.
