  Appeal-Democrat (Marysville-Yuba City, CA) January 6, 2019 Jodi Elizabeth Benzel, age 53, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, December 26th, 2018, in her home. She was born February 24th, 1965, in Marysville, CA. Jodi was a devoted wife and mother to her two kids. She enjoyed taking family trips to Fort Bragg and spending hours on the beach. She spent many years supporting and cheering her kids on in sports. She also spent many years supporting them in 4-H and FFA. She continued to volunteer her time to these organizations for many years after. She was best know for her heart of gold, loving personality, and spunky attitude. Her family was her everything and she always made sure her kids knew she loved them and that they were always taken care of. She will be deeply missed. Jodi is survived by her husband, John Arthur Benzel; son, Matthew Allen Benzel; and daughter, Tayler Elizabeth Benzel all of Live Oak, CA. Her siblings: sister, Judy Witteborg of Carmichael, CA; brother, Ron and wife Kathi Centerwall of Moraga, CA; sister Jan Kraus of Marysville, CA; and brother, Steve and wife Cindy Centerwall of Gold River, CA; half-bother, Jim and wife Donna Klauser of ID. She is preceded in death by her parents, William and Luella Centerwall; along with her brother, David Centerwall of Live Oak, CA.
