  Champlin - Dayton Press (MN) December 20, 2005 Services for Dora Dixon, 90, of Rockford were Saturday, Dec. 17, 2005, at 1 p.m. at The United Presbyterian Church in Rockford. Mrs. Dixon died peacefully Saturday, Dec. 10, 2005, at Lake Ridge Care Center. She was born Aug. 27, 1915, in Rockford the daughter of Otto and Lorena Bugbee Conzet. On Nov. 19, 1931, Dora Conzet and Thomas Dixon were joined in holy marriage in Minneapolis. They were married 49 years and eight months. Dora liver her entire life in Rockford, only 2 miles from her birth home. She loved to garden, can, play cards, do word searches and spend time with her family. Dora loved to tell her grandchildren stories of when she was young. She also loved practical jokes and was game for throwing a cream pie in someone's face or tossing a rotten egg. She enjoyed traveling with her family to Mexico, Montana, Mississippi and Texas as well as yearly trips to Taylors Falls to enjoy the beautiful fall colors. Dora faithfully taught Sunday School for many years. Mrs. Dixon is survived by her loving daughters, Ann (Marvin) Yonak of Buffalo, Leona Knudsvig of Rockford, Sophia (John) Simar of Minnetonka and Eva (James) Winkelman of Loretto; 15 grandchildren, 31 great grandchildren, six great, great grandchildren; a sister, Sophia Droneck of Waverly; other relative and friends. She was preceded in death by husband, Thomas F. Dixon; parents, Otto and Lorena Conzet; four brothers and a sister, Lawrence Conzet, Clifford Conzet, Ralph Conzet, Florence Melvin and Wesley Conzet; and by a son-in-law, Vernon Knudsvig.
