  The Argus-Press (Owosso, MI) February 22, 2013 Elizabeth Marie Libbey. age 87, of Byron, passed away Thursday, Feb. 21, 2013, at Shiawassee County Hospice House. Elizabeth was born Dec. 22, 1925, in Flint, the daughter of Joseph and Sara (Roome) Wickenhiser. She was a graduate of Byron High School and attended Mott Community College for two years. On July 18, 1961, she married Jacob Libbey in Corunna and he preceded her in death in 1981. Elizabeth worked in dietary at Durand Convalescent Center for 12 years retiring in 1984. She attended Durand Congregational Church and was a member of the Reed-Raymond VFW Post 2272 Auxiliary. She is survived by sons, Edward (Elizabeth) Dorrance of Corunna and Jerald Dorrance of Durand; seven grandchildren, 13 great-grandchildren and five great-great-grandchildren; sisters, Lucille Reynolds, Betty (Vincent) Bradburn and Frances (Richard) Strickler; many nieces, nephews and cousins. She was predeceased by daughter Alice, brother Lee and Gracie Wickerhiser, sisters, Evelyn (Harold) Richardson and Catherine Keesler, brother-in-law Oren Reynolds.
