Melina J. (Cyr) (Proctor) Julien, 89, of Beverly, wife of the late Robert A. Julien, died April 28, 2006, at the Seacoast Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Gloucester.
Born in Fairfield, Maine, daughter of the late Francis X. and Alma (Duguay) Cyr, she was raised in Maine and came to Massachusetts in the 1950s. She had lived in Beverly for the past 15 years.
Mrs. Julien was a bookkeeper for many years for several companies on the North Shore. While working, she attended Bentley College and graduated with her degree in accounting.
She was a communicant of the former St. Alphonsus Church and was a member of St. John the Evangelist Church in Beverly.
Mrs. Julien is survived by one son, Harold Proctor and his wife, Jacqueline of Beverly; four brothers, Edgar and William Cyr, both of New Hampshire and Albert and Arthur Cyr, both of Maine; one sister, Priscilla Martin of Massachusetts; one grandson, Scott R. Proctor and his wife, Christine, of Groveland; three great-grandchildren, Zachary, Nicholas and Noelle Proctor; and many nieces and nephews.
She was also the sister of the late Leo, Francis, Raymond and Joseph Cyr, Beatrice Gallant, Regina Sullivan and Margaret McIntosh.
