He was born Jan. 17, 1931, in Connecticut to Harold and Dorothy Sturdivant True. He served his country in the U.S. Air Force and was a veteran of the Korean War. He was a retired firefighter from Middletown, Conn. His hobbies were model trains and RV camping. He was preceded in death by his parents; a daughter, Margaret True; a brother, Paul True; and a sister, Virginia True Masterson. Survivors include his wife, Dawn True; three sons, Dale (Barbara) True, Brian E. True, David R. (Hilary) True; a daughter, Linda Coscina; and several grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
