VANCOUVER -- Former long-time resident of Long Beach, June Lindsley Twombly Priest, passed away peacefully on Oct. 11, 2005, at Southwest Medical Center in Vancouver, with her family at her side.
She was born on July 21, 1924, to Clayton and Anna (Wuis) Lindsley in Allegan, Mich., and was the oldest of 10 children. She worked many years as a CNA and retired in 1985. She was very devoted to her family. One of her greatest pleasures were her trips to Long Beach for visits and family reunions.
Preceding her in death were her husband, Lloyd Priest, who died in 1997; two sisters, Juanita (John) Dunsmore, and Arvilla (Virgil) Cleve; and two brothers, Vert (Jennie), and Marshall.
Surviving her are three children: Dovey Stout, Linda Morris, and Shirley Twombly all from the Vancouver area; grandchildren, Herbert Stout II and Jera Morris; one great grandchild; brothers and sisters, Gordon (Cherie), Pasco, Winnie Zollman, Enterprise, Ore., Stanley (Jeanne), Clayton (Jan), both of Long Beach, Leonard (Sheila), Goldendale; and numerous nieces and nephews.
