CHICOPEE - Lillie E. (Mounts) Gough Dearth, 90, of Chicopee was Called Safely Home on Wednesday April 2, 2003.
She was last employed as a Payroll Clerk at the Westover Officer's Club at Westover Air Force Base and retired in 1968.
She was born in Mount Gay, West Virginia on October 27, 1912 a daughter of the late Alex Mounts, Sr. and Elizabeth (Nelson) Mounts.
She moved to Chicopee in 1966 and lived here until she moved to Forestdale, MA in 1983. She returned to Chicopee in 1996. She was a communicant of Saint Rose de Lima Church in Aldenville and a member of the University of Maine Alumni Association.
Her first husband, Carter M. Gough was Called Home on February 17, 1944 and her second husband, Lieutenant Colonel Robert D. Dearth, US Army Air Corps was Called Home on July 4, 1985.
She leaves her loving children, Ronald E. Gough of Chicopee, Betty L. Shrewsbury and her husband Ralph of Chicopee and Margaret L. Hollinger and her husband William of Naples, FL. Her cherished eight grandchildren and her cherished 15 great-grandchildren. Her dear brother, Alex Mounts, Jr. of Tamarac, FL. Her dear sisters, Mildred Cantley of Columbus, OH and Kitty Frey of Port St. Lucie, FL and her many dear nephews and nieces.
She was predeceased by her dear brother, Mose Mounts and her dear sisters, Okal Sachs and Elizabeth Bartram.
