Wyona June Meech, 89, of Beloit, WI, died Sunday, April 27, 2014 in Premier Rehabilitation and Skilled Nursing.
She was born June 16, 1924 in Beloit, WI, the daughter of Frank and Violet (Sharp) Vallee. Wyona was a graduate of Beloit High School. She married Charles Byron Meech on June 22, 1946 in Beloit, WI. He predeceased her on March 16, 1998.
Wyona was a loyal and loving farmer's wife. She worked along side her husband everyday and also managed to keep up with her home and feeding the hired help everyday.
Wyona was formerly employed by Besly Products, Adams Corn Curl, and the Wagon Wheel, retiring in 1992. She was a member of Turtle Grange, Turtle YPCA, and Wisconsin Pork Council Women. Wyona volunteered for the Rock County 4-H fair for several years and worked for the Wisconsin State Fair. She became her husband's chauffer taking him to his numerous judging competitions and swine shows. Wyona was a member of the River of Life United Methodist Church.
Survivors include her daughter, Mary Meech of Beloit, WI; sister, Mary Johnson; two sisters-in-law, Eva Arnold of Beloit, WI, and Esther Rumage of Shirland, WI; special friend, Gladys Lang of Beloit, WI; several nieces, nephews and in-laws.
She was predeceased by her parents, daughter, Martha Beck, two brothers-in-law, Ralph Arnold and Don Rumage and two nieces.
