Born October 25, 1927, in Rock County, WI; son of Earl John and Tilla Josine (Johnson) Rumage. Married to Ester Meech in Orfordville, WI on February 14, 1948. Farmed all his life in the Rockton area. Member of Prince of Peace Lutheran Church. Former member of Shirland School Board and drove school-bus; Winnebago Farm Bureau; Winnebago Pork Producers; Chaperoned 4-H trips to many states; enjoyed bowling and fishing trips to Canada. Attended Beloit High School. Survivors include wife, Esther of Rockton, IL; daughters, Carol (Thomas) Streich of Orfordville, WI, Anita (Ed) Specht of Rockton, IL; sons, Jim (Brenda) Rumage of Rockton, IL, Mark (Anita) Rumage of Davis, IL; 10 grandchildren; 2 great-grandchildren and one on the way; several nieces and nephews; brother, Glen Rumage of Beloit, WI.
