  Waycross Journal Herald (GA) November 24, 2014 BLACKSHEAR— Neil Wayne Jenkins, 79, of Blackshear, passed away early Saturday morning (Nov. 22, 2014) at the Hospice Satilla Hospice House. Born in Chicago, Ill., May 1, 1935, he had lived in Pierce County for the past 14 years. He was retired from the Federal Aviation Administration where he had worked as an air traffic controller. He was a member of the National Rifle Association and was an avid gun enthusiast. He also enjoyed building model airplanes and was an accomplished pilot. He was a member of St. Johns Methodist Church. He was the son of the late Floyd Wayne and Enid Saussy Jenkins. Survivors include a daughter, Jody Jenkins, of Rockford, lll.; two sons and daughters-in-law, Joseph and Melissa Jenkins, of Blackshear, and Jay and Holly Jenkins, of Tampa, Fla.; seven grandchildren, Alexis Elaine Jenkins, Brittany Jenkins, Dylan Jenkins, Tyler Jenkins, Trevor Jenkins, Andrea Jenkins and Jacob Brown; and several other relatives and friends.
