  The Oregonian (Portland, OR) January 24, 2003 Shelby C. Jenkins died Jan. 11, 2003, at age 78. Mr. Jenkins was born March 16, 1924, in Dubuque, Iowa. During Word War II, he served in the Army in the South Pacific. He moved to Portland in 1946 and worked as a route foreman for Carnation Dairy. In 1945, he married Kathryn Nelson.
