FORMER TEACHER'S AIDE, 71 Ruth Ann Arovitch Claghorn, 71, of Drexel Hill, a retired teacher's assistant and dietary clerk, died of pancreatic failure Wednesday at Delaware County Memorial Hospital.
Mrs. Claghorn, the wife of the Rev. William L. Claghorn, a retired Presbyterian minister, was active in his ministries in Johnstown; Chester, W.Va.; Harrisburg, Ohio; and Louisville, Ky.
She retired in 1994 from the dietary unit at Delaware County Memorial Hospital. Before that, she was a teacher's assistant for English as a second language at the Beverly Hills Middle School in Drexel Hill until 1991.
She was born in Folcroft, raised in Drexel Hill, and graduated from Upper Darby High School.
In addition to her husband of 47 years, she is survived by children Diahann G. Heverly, Richard B., Philip S. and David J.; a brother; and three grandchildren.
