Klopp, Elizabeth Ann age 92, of Bloomington , MN, Bone Lake, WI and Perdido Key, FL passed away peacefully in her sleep on January 7th, 2020 after an 8 year battle with Lewy body dementia.
She grew up in Hopkins, the daughter of Art and Beatrice Plankers. After graduating from Hopkins High School, she attended and graduated from Hamline University. It was there that she met her husband Wayne Klopp of St. James, MN. They were married on September 11, 1950.
As Wayne went on to hold a number of executive positions with retail stores across the country, they moved more than eight times, finally settling in Bloomington, MN in 1979. She and Wayne opened Sofas and Chairs, a retail furniture store, in Bloomington that year. She is remembered for her sense of humor, her love of a good Scotch and a good time, her skill with a rod and reel, and her love of family.
She was married to Wayne for 67 years. He passed away at the age of 96 on Thanksgiving day 2017.
She is survived by her son, Stephen Klopp; daughter-in-law, Tonya Klopp; granddaughter, Chelsea Klopp; great grandson, River Gordon; son, Greg Klopp; son, David Klopp; daughter-in-law, Esme Murphy; grandchildren, Harrison and Esme Klopp. She is also survived by her brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Larry and Jackie Klopp; and brother-in-law, Peter Christensen.
