FRESNO, Calif. - Royce Danny Crough, 86, formerly of Salina, Kan., passed away Jan. 4, 2017, in Fresno. He was born April 15, 1930, to Daniel and Mildred Crough in Salina.
Royce was in the U.S. Marine Corps and served more than six years in Korea. Upon return, he graduated from Fort Hays State University, earning a B.A. degree in accounting. He served 45 years as a government employee as an Internal Revenue agent and held various management positions. He retired in September 1996.
He was a compassionate man who left behind a legacy of love for his family and many friends. He especially enjoyed being involved with the activities of his family. His last surviving cousin said it best, "He was a deep-thinking man who loved his family and his God unendingly."
Royce was preceded in death by: his parents; brother, Kenneth; and sisters, Kathleen Henry and Carol Neff.
He is survived by his wife of 59 years, Deanna; sons, Tim and his wife, Kelli, and Garret and his wife, Phyllis; nine grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; and extended family and many friends.
