  Delta Center Cemetery Barbara C. Mathews, age 78, passed away Nov. 6, 2011 in St. Johns, MI. She was born May 3, 1933 in Boston, Mass. to the late Warren D. and Geraldyne M. (West) White. She was a long time Lansing area resident and formerly owned and operated her own pet shop. She loved and related to all kinds of animals. Barbara was also a talented cake decorator, candy maker, and gardener. She is survived by sons; Marion "Bud" (Kimberly) Mathews of Mason, Michael (Felicia) Mathews of Antioch, CA , daughters; Christine (Raymond) Simpson of Lagrange, IN, Deborah (Bill) Perry of Robstown, TX, Wendy (Johnny) Adams of Orange Park, FL, Laurie (Terry) Lands of Sturgis, MI, 19 grandchildren, 20 great grandchildren, 5 great great grandchildren, sister Geraldine Sharp of Mason, sister-in-law Karen "Lou" White, many nieces and nephews, dear long time friend Donna Powell, loving companions Hannah and Mary. She is preceded in death by husband Marion DeWain, grandson Joshua, daughter Tammy, brother Warren "Buster".
