  Obituary: Malden Observer, Malden, Massachusetts, 22 December, 2008 Edmund E. Pasteris Jr., 84, of Malden, former husband of the late Shirley (Hodsdon) and Charlotte (Howe), died December 18, 2008, at the Glen Ridge Nursing Care Center in Medford, after a brief illness. Born in Boston, he had been a resident of Malden for many years. He received his education at the Hunt School in East Weymouth, and for many years until it closed, he worked for Ambex Protection Agency in Laconia, N.H. Returning to the Malden area, Mr. Pasteris ran a security company for Joseph Gagne and was a constable for the city of Malden in charge of security officers. A retired U.S. Army veteran, he was also a member of the 630 Club. He is lovingly survived by his sister, Annis Gardner, and his nephew, Kenneth Gardner. In accordance with his wishes, funeral services were private. Funeral arrangements were under the direction of Carroll Funeral Home of Malden.
