Robert E. Boyer, 69, of Randolph, VT, died early Monday morning, (February 9, 2004) at Gifford Medical Center in Randolph. He was born April 11, 1934, in Brooklyn, NY; the son of Albert J. and Sophie (Egner) Boyer.
He was raised in Brooklyn, and served in the U.S. Navy during the Korean War.
He was married to Nancy Whitney on Aug. 10, 1963, in Portland, ME.
Robert lived in E. Hartford from 1955- 1991, moving to Barnard, VT, then briefly to Woodruff, SC; returning to Randolph, VT in 2001. He had worked for Roger Sherman Riggin Company in Bloomfield, and was a member of the I.O-O.F. of Hartford. He enjoyed hunting and fishing.
Survivors include his wife, Nancy Boyer of Randolph, VT; son, Douglas R. Boyer; and daughter, Karen Bora, both of E. Hartford; father, Albert J. Boyer, Sr. of Tolland; brothers, Albert J. Boyer, Jr. of Tolland, Edgar C. Boyer of Phoenix, AZ and Henry F. Boyer of Manchester; and a granddaughter.
He was predeceased by his brother, Joseph A. Boyer.
