William Elwood Grady Sr, 75, of Inverness, died Friday (Feb. 2, 2007) at Shands Teaching Hospital at the University of Florida in Gainesville.
Born in Holyoke, Mass., he came here in 1972 from St. Petersburg.
He was a Navy veteran of the Korean War and was a member of the USS John R. Pierce Sailors Association. He was the owner/operator of Plaza Hair Fashions in the Citrus Plaza, Inverness, the Williamsburg Hair Fashions in Beverly Hills, and was Catholic.
Survivors include his wife of 49 years, Myrna Grady; four sons, Michael, Springfield, Mass., Edward, Ontario, Canada, William E. Jr., Inverness, and Patrick T., Bushnell; five daughters, Deborah Payne, Springfield, Teresa Selva, Tallahassee, Eileen Grady, Orlando, Myrna Paul, Inverness, and Kathleen Scott Forest, Va.; a brother, Henry, Inverness; a sister, Mary Rise, St. Petersburg; 25 grandchildren; and 16 great-grandchildren.
