GASTON - Funeral service for William "Billy" Fenimore, 77, of Gaston, will be held 3 p.m. Friday, February 17, 2012, at First Baptist Church of Gaston.
Mr. Fenimore passed away on Tuesday, February 14, 2012. Born in Van, West Virginia, he was a son of the late Thomas Fenimore and Garnett Rowley Fenimore.
Mr. Fenimore was a saved Christian for 69 years and a loyal member of First Baptist Church of Gaston for over 10 years. He volunteered at Meals on Wheels and was a member of Pine Ridge Senior Center for 10 years. He loved his God, family, church family, the Van Bulldogs, the South Carolina Gamecocks and his beloved dog, Tiny.
Surviving Mr. Fenimore are his niece, Deborah (Rick) and great-nephew, Tyler Stalvey of Gaston, Cathi (Wallace) Fallaw of Gaston, and great-nephew, Kyle Curry of Florida; nephews, Tommy Fenimore, Danny (Sandy) Fenimore, Larry (Robbie) Fenimore, Gary (Caryn) Fenimore, Terry Fenimore and Jerry Fenimore, all of Florida; sisters-in-law, June Ann Zorn of Florida, and Bobbie Curry of West Columbia, SC; 19 additional great-nephews and nieces, 14 great-great-nephews and nieces, and one great-great-great-niece.
He was preceded in death by his brothers, Glenn and Thomas Fenimore, and sister, Margaret and brother-in-law John Curry.
