Esta Kay Damron, 69, of Madison passed away February 22, 2012, at her home.
She was born June 5, 1942, and was a daughter of the late Raymond Strange Rowley and Erna Bell Bias Rowley.
She was also preceded in death by brothers, LeRoy and Paul Rowley.
Esta was one of eight brothers and sisters who were born and raised in Madison. Esta married her high school sweetheart, and had four children. For the next 21 years she served as a military wife, and raised her children at various military assignments across the United States and Europe. Esta was a proud and loving mother and grandmother whose greatest joys were attending her grandchildren's school events and watching Dallas Cowboys and WVU Mountaineer football games. She was a respected and hardworking employee and manager of Danville Rite-Aid for 29 years, and is sadly missed by her co-workers.
She is survived by four children, one son, Mark R. Damron and his wife, Terri, and grandson, Eric, and granddaughter, Haylie; three daughters, Susan Parker and her husband, Bill, and granddaughters, Lauren and Breanne, Lisa Dolan and her husband, Dean, and granddaughter, Emily, and grandsons, Matthew and Nicholas, and Elizabeth Hill and her husband, Patrick, and grandsons, Sean and Mason. She is also survived by three brothers, Will Rowley and wife, Barbara, Charles Rowley and wife, Mary Ann, and Frank Rowley, all of Boone County; two sisters, Erma Miller of Jacksonville, Fla., and Mary Ann Clifton and her husband, Ronnie, of Frostburg, Md.; and many nieces, nephews and great-nieces and nephews.
