  Tribute Archive HOWARD G. MILLINGTON, 74, of Urbana, died Sunday, July 22, 2001, in Wellington Nursing and Rehabilitation Center, Urbana. He was born on July 7, 1927 in Ashtabula County, Ohio. He was the son of Oren L. and Cora (Turner) Millington. He retired from International Harvester as a Machine Repair Machinist. He was a member of the United States Trotting Association and the Ohio Harness Horsemen's Association. He was a horseman for many years, working with and owning many horses, his favorite horse being Margene Mister. For a man who had a humble beginning, he owned several businesses, even holding several patents. Survivors include his son and daughter-in-law, Ronald Oren (Susan) Millington of Urbana; daughters Marcia K. Millington of Springfield and Georgia Diane (Sam) Teets of Sidney; two sisters, Bertha Watson Keister of Florida and Frances DeBruyn of Florida; brother, Bernard Millington of Missouri; grandchildren, Eric Teets, Kevin Teets, Stephanie Huffman, Brian Millington, and Elizabeth Millington; great granddaughter, Shelby Lynn Huffman and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his wife of 53 years, Lela Elizabeth, who passed away in June of 1998.
