  Amarillo Globe-News January 7, 2011 PAMPA - Gary L. Coleman, 62, died Wednesday, Jan. 5, 2011. Mr. Coleman was born Oct. 5, 1948, in Phillips, graduating from Phillips High School in 1967. He received an associate degree from Frank Phillips College. He had been a resident of Borger most of his life, moving to Pampa in 2009. Gary was a veteran of the U.S. Army and a member of the Vietnam Veterans of America. He married Pat Perry in November 1972. He retired from Conoco Phillips as an operator after 38 years of service. He was a member of St. John's Catholic Church in Borger. Gary was the best husband, father and grandfather, and was a special friend to many people. Gary was preceded in death by his parents, Paul Coleman and Golda Polk. Survivors include his wife, Pat Coleman; a daughter, Karen Coleman of Pampa; a brother, Kenneth Coleman and wife Sheri of Amarillo; three grandchildren, Nicholas Coleman, Harper Coleman and Claire Gill, all of Pampa; and two brothers-in-law, Robert Perry of Raleigh, N.C., and Mike Perry of Borger.
