CAMDEN – Earl C. Randall, Jr., 76, retired dairy farmer, formerly of Rockport, died Saturday, August 25, 2007, at his home after an extended illness. Born in Thomaston, July 10, 1931, he was the son of Earl C., Sr. and Louise Tyler Randall. He lived in Rockland until age five and then moved with his family to a farm on Old County Road in Rockport, which eventually became known as the Randall Farm. He attended local schools and was a 1949 graduate of Rockport High School.
His entire working career, Mr. Randall worked the family farm, where he enjoyed raising Holsteins for milk production. At one point he kept 100 head of cattle at the farm. Following Mr. Randall's retirement in 1987, the Randall Farm became what is now the Hospitality House.
February 9, 1973, he married Theresa M. Pease at the Nazarene Church in Union.
Besides his wife of Camden, Mr. Randall is survived by two sons, Earl C. Randall, III of Camden, Richard L. Ripley, Jr. and his wife Lori of Rockport; three daughters Cynthia Ripley and her companion Walter Chapman of Rockland, Valerie Wood and her husband Michael of Belfast, Elizabeth A. Roscoe and her husband David of Rockland; 10 grandchildren, Kristy Patterson, Terrie Ingraham, David Ripley, Wayne Brackett, Sheena Lord, Monica Ripley, Amanda Ripley, Devin Roscoe, Rachel Ripley, Zachary Ripley; seven great-grandchildren, Tyler Brackett, Jacob, Haileigh, Taylor Ingraham, Carter, Chandler Paterson, Dylan Lord; many in-laws as well as many nieces and nephews.
