  Tampa Bay Times June 11, 2007 Barton, Robert, 87, of Holiday, died Friday (June 8, 2007) at Marliere Care Center of New Port Richey. Born in Vinalhaven, Maine, he came here in 1986 from Lisbon, Conn. He was a retired bridge crane operator with 25 years of service and a member and elder of the Community of Christ, Tarpon Springs. He was an Army veteran of World War II. Survivors include his wife of 61 years, Betty; a son, Robert R., New York; three daughters, Barbara Barton and Joan Martell, both of Connecticut, and Peggy Vaughn, Ohio; five grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren. .
