  The Virginian-Pilot (Norfolk, VA) February 7, 2021 Heaven gained another part of our family. William (Bill) Able Fifield, II, 78, born in Old Lyme, CT, 5/29/1942, lost his 2-year fight with cancer on 1/31/2021. He is survived by his wife of 56 years Joyce; Children Wendell, Rudy and Stephanie Barfield; along with his many grandchildren, great grandchild, as well as many nephews and nieces. He will be missed by many including the members of the Bow Creek Golf Association, who supported and helped him play the game he loved for as long as he could as he continued his fight with cancer.
