  Carr Funeral Home Suzanne J. (McKenzie) Brooks October 19, 1945 ~ February 15, 2014 (age 68) Whitinsville--Suzanne J. Brooks died Saturday, February 15 after a brief illness. She was 69. Her husband John L. Brooks, with whom she shared her life for 36 years, survives her. In addition, she leaves her son Rufus Peeples of Maine and her stepson Michael J. Brooks and his wife Crystal of Attleboro, and 4 granddaughters. Suzanne is pre-deceased by her parents Harold and Marie (MacDonald) McKenzie and her sister Mary McKenzie. Suzanne was born in Providence, RI and was raised in and attended school in Arlington, MA. She worked at Amateck (formerly GE) in Lynn and Lister Manufacturing in Holliston, prior to retiring almost 20 years ago. She and John lived in Bellingham for 26 years before moving to Whitinsville in 2011. Suzanne loved photography, especially taking pictures of flowers. She and John loved traveling together, particularly to Maine and she enjoyed spending time with her granddaughters.
