Margaret Turner Howe, 91, died Monday at a Lewiston nursing home.
She was born in Stonington, daughter of George and Mamie Knowlton Turner, and graduated from Hebron Academy and from Colby College with honors.
Mrs. Howe was a member of Phi Mu Sorority for 50 years.
She was elected a member of the Order of the Golden Sheath and was a past president of the October Club in Bucksport and New Gloucester Congregational Church.
Her husband, Malcolm S. Howe, died in 1979, and a daughter, Catherine Campbell, died in 1986.
Surviving are a son, Robert T. Howe of Phoenix; two daughters, Jean H. Spengler of St. Augustine, Fla., and Virginia H. Phillips of Littleton, Colo.; 11 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren.
