James R. Eaton, Sr., 59, of Middletown, beloved husband of Mary Ann (Krawiec) Watson-Eaton, passed away peacefully on Friday, December 2, 2011, surrounded by his family at home.
He was born on February 20, 1952 in Springfield, MA to Carol (McCallum) Manser and the late James Wilder Eaton.
Jim most recently had been employed as the Director of Operations at DMS (Direct Mail Systems) in Windsor. Jim was fascinated by astronomy and hosted his own website, sightsabove.com, for which he won numerous website awards.
A family man, he cherished the past seventeen years with his wife Mary Ann, and always enjoyed spending time with his children and grandchildren. Jim recently had converted to Catholicism and found great peace in that.
In addition to his wife and mother he is survived by his sons, James Eaton Jr. and his wife Dawn of Springfield, MA; William Eaton and his wife Jennifer of Agawam, MA; Michael Eaton of Springfield, MA; Thomas Eaton and his wife Wendy McKellick-Eaton of Springfield, MA; his brothers, Robert Eaton and his wife Deborah of Watkinsville, GA; Ronald Eaton and his wife Susan of Las Vegas, NV; his sister, Cynthia Estell and her husband Norman of Unionville, NC; his nine grandchildren, Kiana and Makayla Eaton, Stephanie Humphreys, Cody Rzonca, Allie Eaton, Lessa McKellick, Ashlyyn McKellick, Thomas and Sierra Eaton. He also leaves his cherished and beloved mother-in-law Susan Krawiec, brothers-in-law, Joseph and Michael Krawiec, and nephew-in-law, Joseph Krawiec.
In addition to his father he was predeceased by his step-father, William Manser.
