David H. Barve, 84, of Battle Creek, died Thursday, March 26, 1992, on Memorial Hospital, Owosso.
Mr. Barve was boen on Feb. 7, 1908, in DeKalb County, Ind., to the late Harry and Almeda (Shaw) Barve.
He was a pressman at Michigan Carton Co. for over 37 years, retiring in 1973.
He was a member of the Garrison Hills Wesleyan Church, Michigan Carton Co. 25-year Club, a volunteer with th American Red Cross and the Valentine Center.
He enjoyed traveling, missionary work in Haiti and Jamaica and other foreign countries.
His wife, Agnes Barve, died in 1986.
Surviving is a daughter, Nina Gore of Battle Creek; five sons, David L. Barve of Sherwood, Charles Halke and Gerald Barve, both of Battle Creek, Vernon Barve of Perry, and Harry Barve of Tennessee; 16 grandchildren; 21 great-grandchildren; and two sisters, Geraldine Philo of Athens and Eldora Janson.
