  Bangor Daily News November 7, 2019 STONINGTON - Hattie Eva (Haskell) Webb, 99, passed away Thursday, November 7, 2019, at Blue Hill Memorial Hospital. Hattie was born May 28, 1920, in Belfast, the only child of Wyman and Rena (Eaton) Haskell. Shortly thereafter, the family moved to Oceanville, where she attended grade school and graduated from Stonington High School, in 1938. In 1940, she married Carlyle J. Webb, the love of her life. They grew up in the same neighborhood in Oceanville and, in Hattie's words, "I had my eye on him for quite a while." Hattie lived a full and happy life, centered around her family and friends. She helped Carlyle with his various business interests, acting as bookkeeper and ordering movies for the Opera House. Her personal interests included oil painting, gardening, knitting, crocheting, Cooperative Extension Service, and bird watching. Hattie was a wonderful wife, mother, friend, and was respected by all. She had a friendly disposition and a kind word for everyone. Hattie was predeceased by her beloved husband, Carlyle; son, Gary Webb; siblings-in-law, Alan and Myrna Webb, Raymond and Lurline Webb, and Russell Webb. She is survived by her son, Glenn Webb, and his wife, Linda, of Orland; daughter-in-law, Elaine Webb, of Coventry, RI; three grandchildren, Sandra Brouillette, and her husband, Tom, of St. Simons Island, GA, Valerie Robinson, and her husband, Ted, of Wappingers Falls, NY; and Kimberly La Fountain, and her husband, Ken, of Coventry, RI; her special great-granddaughter, Ava LaFountain; sister-in-law, Marie Webb, of Clinton; as well as many nieces and nephews.
