  Find-a-Grave Bethel Rose Hamlin died Monday, June 9th 2003 at 1:00 am Bethel Rose (Barger) Hamlin was born September 5, 1925, to parents, Jesse J. & Rose E. Barger, in Caney, Kansas. She was a Loveland resident since 1974. Bethel was a loving mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. Bethel was a member of the First Christian Church in Loveland. She was a past president of the Laura Stewart Garden Club. Bethel was also past president of the Rose Society. During her years she took ribbons in flower shows & county fairs. She loved to work in her yard and made it a showcase by planting over 100 roses. Her yard was on many tours. She was a Girl Scout Leader for 8 years. Bethel was a member of the National Society of the Daughters of the American Revolution, Namaqua Chapter, and the VFW. Along with family and friends, Bethel enjoyed Bridge, Knitting & Crochet. She ran a business of making custom draperies out of her home for many years. She was a member of the Retired Senior Volunteer Program and did other volunteer work. Bethel is survived by her children: Donita J. & James Simpson, Shelley A. Ellis, Dallas D. Hamlin & James Carson & Laurette Hamlin, all of Loveland, Colorado. Her grandchildren: Rebecca J. & Ryan Mayer of Wray, Colorado. Sherry D. Simpson of Loveland, Bonny K. Wans of Milner, Colorado, James R. & Darlene Ellis of Loveland, Lisa R. & Mike Abella, Cory Clifford, Collin Hamlin & Jess Hamlin of Loveland. Her great-grandchildren: Elizabeth Mayer, Catherine Mayer, Brandon Wans, Christopher Wans, Timothy Wans, Rayanna Wans, Jason Wans & Preston Abella. Preceding her in death were her parents, Jesse J. & Rose E. Barger; sister, Muriel J. Chandler; brother, Richard Barger; husband, Donald G. Hamlin; and in-laws, Earnest & Frieda Hamlin.
