  Woodburn Independent, [Woodburn, OR] June 3, 2014 Larry Ray Landis was born October 14, 1937, in Hesston, Kan. He died May 14, 2014 in Nampa, Idaho. Raised in Indian Cove, Idaho, he went to Western Mennonite High School outside Salem and settled in the Woodburn area. For 10 years, he worked as a police officer for the city of Woodburn. Then he spent a few years building houses in Oregon and Nevada before settling in Ely, Nev. where he worked as a prison guard until he retired. After he retired he moved back to Idaho settling in Nampa. Larry was survived by his wife Glenna, children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
