She was born September 8, 1953, in Mattoon, Illinois, the daughter of Don and Marilyn (Norris) Garlock. Donna married David Abel, March 15, 1975 in Mattoon, Illinois. She was a retired School bus driver for Neoga District # 3, she was also an operator for General Electric and was an Arts and Crafts Coordinator for Camp New Hope. She leaves her husband, David Abel of rural Neoga, IL; two sons, Brian Abel of Charleston, IL and Todd Abel and wife Erin of Springfield, IL; two brothers, Mickey Garlock of Champaign, IL and Randy Garlock and wife Cindy of Mattoon, IL; one sister, Christine Kessler and husband Brad of Stewardson, IL; four grandchildren, Alexis, Gavin, Claire and Katelyn.
