  Brainerd Dispatch November 01, 2008 CROSBY - Gladys Arlene (Bedal) Wilson, of Crosby, went peacefully with the Lord on Oct. 28, 2008. She was born in Brainerd, Minn., on May 17, 1924, to the late Earl and Dolores (Hall) Bedal. Gladys graduated in 1942 from Brainerd Washington High School where she was in the choir and was assistant director. She also led the Brainerd Ladies Drum and Bugle Corps which later received "Winner of Exceptional Recognition" at the Mardi Gras parade in New Orleans. She was also honored as best dancer in her high school. She worked at Turcotte Fairway Grocery and later at Schaefer Model Meat Market. As a member of Crosslake Lutheran Church she enjoyed singing and directing the choir. Gladys is survived by her beloved husband of 57 years, George C. Wilson; her daughter, Terri (Pat) Arter, of San Diego, and grandson, Mike Arter; her son, Scott Wilson, of San Diego, and his daughter, Melina Wilson; three sisters, June (Chris) Christofferson, of Atascadera, Calif., Joyce (Bob) Turcotte, of Brainerd and Lois (Don) Jensen, of Baxter. She was preceded in death by her parents, and sister, Marlos (Bedal) Nerby.
