Mr. Stearns was a retired teacher for Tarrytown Public School System, Tarrytown, N.Y. Born in Conway, Mass., he moved to Central Florida in 1974. He was a member of the First Congregational Church, Orange City. He was a member of the Orange City Shuffleboard Club; and the Tavares Recreation Association.
