  The Newton Daily News (IA) April 11, 2007 TALLAHASSEE, Fla. - Dorothy H. Caddoo, 87, of Tallahassee, Fla., formerly of Newton, died Monday, April 2, 2007, in Tallahassee. Dottie was born in Los Angeles, Calif., in 1919. She was raised by her parents, Theodore and Dorothy Haskell, in Massachusetts and New York, along with her brother and twin sister. She married George Caddoo in 1942 in Freeport, Long Island, N.Y. After a short move to Pennsylvania, the family resided in Newton. She was an active volunteer in Newton and served on the board of the YMCA, Skiff Hospital Auxiliary and was past president of PEO Chapter HS. Family and friends were her pride and joy. Painting, bridge, golf and travel were her pleasures. Retirement took her and George to Oldsmar, Fla., in 1983. Dottie moved to Tallahassee in 2001. Those who will miss her warmth, wit and care greatly are her son, Gary (and Jayne) Caddoo of West Linn, Ore.; daughters, Barbara (and Patrick) Jennings of Tallahassee, Fla., Susan (and Ray) Hannisian of Carbondale, Colo., Patricia (and Fred) Waterman of Tallahassee, Karen Caddoo of Englewood, Colo., and Nancy (and Ken) Humphreys of Denver Colo.; a brother, Ted (and Mary) Haskell of Vero Beach, Fla.; sisters-in-law, Rowan (and Malcolm) Brooks of Rockville Center, Long Island, N.Y., and Cynthia Caddoo of Allentown, Pa.; 11 grandchildren, 11 great-grandchildren; nieces, nephews and friends. She was preceded in death by her husband George in 1987 and her sister Elizabeth McKinlay in 2004.
