  Brainerd Dispatch April 30, 2010 Donald W. Bedal MINNEAPOLIS - Donald was born July 14, 1913. He lived all but the last seven years of his life in Brainerd and died April 28, 2010, in a Minneapolis nursing home. He worked for the railroad for 35 years and retired in 1974. Graveside service will be 11:30 a.m. Monday at Evergreen Memorial Gardens. He will be buried next to Bertha, his wife of 71 years, who died in 2003. Donald is preceded in death by his parents; six siblings; and one grandson. He is survived by daughters, Sharon Cole and Lynne (David) Speed; grandchildren, Angie (Ryan) Helgeson, Christine (Gary) Gravier, Robert (Anne) Kreckelberg, Mary Lynne (Edmund) Hagen; great-granddaughter, Jamie (Kevin) Book; great-grandsons, Alexander and David Helgeson, Joseph, Brian and Daniel Gravier; and great-great-grandson, Lucian Book.
