  The Day December 4, 2012 Mystic - Dora (Bailey) Lundie, 94, of Academy Lane, Mystic, formerly of Terry Road, Gales Ferry, passed away on Saturday, Dec. 1, 2012, at Fairview in Groton. Mrs. Lundie was born on June 11, 1918, in Montpelier, Vt., the daughter of Jason and Hallie (Templeton) Bailey. Dora was married on Aug. 23, 1941, in Quincy, Mass., to Alan S. Lundie. Mr. Lundie passed away on June 25, 2003. Mrs. Lundie was a graduate of Becker College and spent the majority of her working career as a bookkeeper for the University of Connecticut at Avery Point in Groton. Her main devotion was to her family. She had also been a longtime member of the United Methodist Church of Gales Ferry. Over the years, she had served in many volunteer capacities including the Gales Ferry Library, the PTA., and as a Boy Scout den mother. She is survived by her daughter, Diane L. Lamb of Ledyard; four sons, Brian J. Lundie of Gales Ferry, Paul T. Lundie of Southington, Col. Robert S. Lundie, (USAF, ret.) of Boise, Idaho, Lt. Col. Donald A. Lundie (USAF, ret.) of Yorktown, Pa.; her sister, Helen Witham of Vermont; 11 grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
