  The Union Leader (Manchester, NH) November 22, 2002 NORTHUMBERLAND -- Dorothy A. Smith Fogg, 74, died Nov. 20, 2002, at Dartmouth-Hitchcock Medical Center, Lebanon. She was born Jan. 22, 1928, in Lunenburg, Vt., the daughter of Omlah R. and Grace (Hamblet) Smith Sr. She lived most of her life in South Lunenburg, Vt., attended grade school in Gilman, Vt., and graduated from Lyndon Institute, Lyndon Center, Vt. For a time she was employed at Gilman Paper Co. before going to work for New England Telephone as a telephone operator. She continued to work there until she married Pierson R. Fogg, at which time they moved to Northumberland. She was a longtime member of the Order of the Easter Star and the American Legion Fredonwarell Auxiliary, Unit 17 in Groveton. Family members include a daughter, Pamela Aievoli of Staten Island, N.Y.; two grandchildren; two brothers, Omlah R. Smith Jr. of St. Johnsbury, Vt., and Edward H. Smith of Gilman, Vt.; and several aunts, nieces, nephews and cousins. She was predeceased by her husband, Pierson R. Fogg, in 1991.
